Meet Our Teaching Farmers

Transforming Classrooms Through Food & Science

This video, created by The Media Spot, highlights how Mi Oh My Farms’ K–12 workshops bring hands-on science, sustainability, and nutrition education directly into NYC classrooms. Through an engaging partnership with P.S. 971 in Brooklyn and funding from NYC’s Food Education Grant, students explored mushroom cultivation, learned about the health benefits of superfoods, and experienced project-based learning that connects ecology, food systems, and wellness in an exciting and memorable way.

A classroom with children and adults gathered around a table, involved in a science activity with a large plastic bag, a bucket, and other materials, while posters and lockers are visible on the walls.
