Mission, Vision & Values

Mission

Mi Oh My Farms is a worker-owned hydroponic farm and education cooperative rooted in the Bronx. We grow mushrooms and microgreens, expand food access, and partner with institutions to improve community health. Our mission is to build generational wealth for BIPOC producers through cooperative economics and to create resilient food systems that nourish people and strengthen communities.

Vision

We envision a resilient food system where communities in the Bronx, Kingston, and beyond have access to nutrient-dense foods grown and distributed by worker-owners. By expanding school partnerships, building local food hubs, and ensuring living wages for our members, we are creating a model that unites education, health equity, and cooperative ownership. Our vision is a future where every neighborhood can thrive with locally grown food, strong institutions, and a culture of shared governance.

Our Values

Food Justice & Health Equity: We grow and distribute fresh mushrooms and microgreens to expand access to affordable, nutrient-dense foods in the Bronx and beyond.

  • Solidarity as a Business Model: Cooperation, not competition, powers our resilience. We are committed to collective ownership and shared governance.

  • Worker Empowerment: We say no to exploitation and yes to dignity. Our worker-owners earn fair wages and build pathways to generational wealth.

  • Education & Community: We cultivate knowledge through schools, community programs, and partnerships that transform food access into long-term health outcomes.

  • Innovation with Integrity: As one of NYC’s only worker-owned hydroponic farms and the only mushroom and microgreens CSA in the Bronx, we model sustainable, forward-looking food systems.
