We’re officially launching urban farm tours & field trips!
Our special farm tours invite you into our growing space to see how food is cultivated in an urban environment and to connect more deeply with the systems that nourish our community. From mushrooms and microgreens to composting and regenerative growing practices, each visit is designed to be hands-on, educational, and inspiring.
You’ll learn:
How food is grown in an urban setting
The role of small farms in local food systems
Practical ways to grow your own food
Our goal is simple: to make healthy food, farming, and knowledge more accessible to everyone.

Awarded a Microgrant from Farm School NYC
We’re honored to share that Mi Oh My Farms has been selected as a recipient of a microgrant from Farm School NYC.
Farm School NYC is distributing 10 Micro Grants of $10,000 to support urban growers in strengthening their work—whether that’s improving growing spaces, advancing conservation practices, sharing knowledge with the community, or building long-term capacity.
This year’s process brought together a selection committee of NYC urban growers to review more than 40 applications. Each one reflected the powerful role urban farms play in weaving the fabric of community and expanding access to land, food, education, and resources.
We’re deeply grateful to be part of this network of growers working toward a more just and resilient food system. Congrats to our fellow grantees: John Bowne H.S. Animal, Plant and Agriscience Institute in Queens, Deep Routes in Brooklyn, Nos Cuidamos Community Garden in Brooklyn, Pleasant Village Community Garden in Manhattan, Our House Tinyee Farm in Brooklyn, New Roots Community Farm and Garden in the Bronx and Queens, iDig2Learn on Roosevelt Island, Red Hook Initiative, Red Hook Houses Farm in Brooklyn, and The Brooklyn New School Urban Farm in Brooklyn.
What We’re Building With This Grant
We are a worker-owned cooperative based in the Bronx, focused on regenerative food production, education, and community wealth building.
Founded in 2020 as a small cooperative growing microgreens and mushrooms, we’ve grown into a citywide social enterprise—supporting food distribution, consulting with schools and institutions, and collaborating with community groups across NYC.
This grant will help us take a major next step:
Build a greenhouse to expand year-round production
Train 50+ residents annually in regenerative agriculture
Expand our CSA program to serve more Bronx families, including SNAP/EBT access
Invest in aquaponics systems and composting infrastructure
Compensate staff for education, training, and coordination
This project will serve as both a learning lab and a local food production system—strengthening food sovereignty while creating meaningful workforce opportunities in the Bronx.
Why This Matters
Urban farms are more than places where food is grown—they are spaces where:
Knowledge is shared
Communities are strengthened
Local economies are built
With this support, we’re able to deepen our impact and continue building toward a future where fresh, healthy food and agricultural knowledge are accessible to all.
Come Grow With Us
This is just the beginning. We invite you to join us for a tour, connect with the land, and be part of a growing movement reimagining food systems in our cities.
