Create a Mi Oh My Farms Farm Mural (Paid Opportunity)

Mi Oh My Farms is seeking a Bronx-based visual artist to design and paint a mural at our urban hydroponic farm and education space in the South Bronx.

We are a worker-owned cooperative growing microgreens and mushrooms while delivering hands-on education to schools and community organizations across NYC. Our work centers food justice, cooperative economics, sustainability, and regenerative agriculture.

We are looking for an artist whose work resonates with:

Project Details

  1. Location: 970 Prospect Ave, Bronx, NY

  2. Surface: Exterior/interior wall (approx. dimensions TBD)

  3. Timeline: Spring / Early Summer 2026 (flexible within warm months)

  4. Honorarium: Small but meaningful stipend (range: $1,500–$3,000 depending on scope and materials)

  5. Materials: We can cover paint/material costs in addition to honorarium (to be discussed)

What We’re Looking For

  • Bronx-based artist preferred

  • Experience with murals or large-scale public work

  • Portfolio that reflects alignment with community-rooted, justice-oriented themes

  • Willingness to collaborate with our cooperative members on concept development

  • Creative ways to use a quote about the power of co-ops
